CHEFldn Redemption Ss14

For my first post i wish to talk about CHEFldn’s 2014 spring/summer collection.

REDemption Ss14

Showcasing this particular collection at London Fashion Week in February, Chief Designer and Founder Macharia Brian presented this “East vs West” concept in one of the events showrooms. Using the Japanese influence and martial art model as a basis for this collection, London based brand Dope Chef/CHEFldn created a juxtaposition of both lifestyle and tradition. Taking influences from his re-branding, Macharia uses his iconic” Un-United states flag” against Ying Yang symbolism to bring the traditional attire of many Samurais and their Senseis and re-imagine it  into modern, high-end streetwear.

As a big fan of Dope Chef’s original brand as well as their re-branding, i have now become a big lover of everything Macharia Brian designs and this Ss14 collection is no exception for me. The way he takes the  monochrome designs further by giving them themes and purpose, Macharia Brian isn’t just creating novelty pieces for this collection as he gives us high quality, timeless fashion without presenting an overriding take on eastern culture. It is fashion collections like this that gives designers and brands such a DopeChef/CHEFldn  the ability to be classed as artists.
Thank you for reading. This is my first ever post and i would like to hear your opinions on both the content of the piece as well as my writing.

Who am i?

Hellooo
Who am I?…
I am a 17 year old male A-level student going through the stresses and thrills of a young adult. With aspirations of becoming a Fashion Photographer, i am currently studying photographers as well as trying  to fuel my passion for photography as much as i can.
What am I about?
My main aim for this blog is to give insights into my thoughts and feelings of fashion and photography, with the occasional personal bullshit. Giving honest opinions and appreciation, i will look at high fashion brands, upcoming brands and everything in between. From Martin Maison Margiela and Givenchy to Stussy and Supreme, i will try to give you an intensive and  concise comment on all looks of fashion and style that catches my eye. But all in all, i will share with you my personal my own personal style. Be it through my own outfits, Fashion Week documenting or Editorials i photograph or anything i photography that i wish to share with you, i wish to bring you into my art conscience mind.
I hope i can entertain and inspire you through this blog . Please feel free to leave comments and messages, I’m always one for advice and a discussion. I am new to blogging but i will try my hardest to make something special.

Thank you, Lucien George
